At the 6th edition of the Champagne Collet Culinary Book Prize, 9 talented chefs battled it out to succeed Grégory Marchand, chef at the Frenchie restaurants in Paris and London and winner of the 5th edition. This prize, which is a tribute to Haute Cuisine with its creativity and its values of sincerity, sharing and transmitting knowledge, celebrates all facets of a book authored by a chef.  The chefs in the running at this 6th competition were: Christopher Coutanceau, Mauro Colagreco, Michel Roth, Jean-Rony Leriche, Anne-Sophie Pic, Simone Zanoni, Frédéric Simonin, Christophe Adam and Christophe Hay.

The 2018 award ceremony took place in the Galerie Gaggenau in Paris on 10 December with the hundred or so guests treated to a cocktail dinner created by the previous year’s winner, Grégory Marchand.  Champagne Collet awarded the 6th Champagne Collet Culinary Book Prize to Mauro Colagreco for his book entitled Mirazur published by Edition Alain Ducasse.  Last June, Colagreco had served guests and the jury with an audacious menu that included dishes such as crab, almonds and marigolds paired with our Champagne Collet Brut Rosé, and a saddle of lamb, cucumber and mint, served with our Champagne Collet Esprit Couture.

Recently awarded a third star by the prestigious Michelin Guide, we are happy to be able to congratulate Mauro Colagreco once more!
