Boldness and self-indulgence are abundant in this Coteaux Champenois Aÿ Rouge. An extraordinary wine aimed at food lovers who are curious about and fascinated by the traditions of the Champagne region.

This Coteaux Champenois Aÿ Rouge originates from our fifty-year-old Pinot Noir plot known as "La Porte aux brebis", situated up high on a hillside in Aÿ. Limited production: 1300 bottles.

This Aÿ Rouge wine will reveal all its charms when served alongside an exquisite gour-met meal, paired with a white meat such as chicken or a light red meat such as a veal cutlet.

This Coteaux Champenois Aÿ Rouge is matured for eight months in barrels made of oak from the forests of Champagne. After a minimum of one year's ageing in our centuries-old limestone cellars, it can still be kept for a period of three to four years.

Appearence

Deep garnet-red colour.

Nose

Full-bodied redcurrant aromas, liquorice notes. A luscious and unusual nose.

Palate

A well-rounded and light wine with tart strawberry flavours and a hint of redcur-rant. Leaves a fresh and smooth finish enlivened by woody notes as a result of having been matured in oak barrels.
